Halloween is such a fun time of the year! It allows everyone to dress up in ways they never would on a normal day, and it’s a great way to express you.

If you loved princess-themed cartoons when you were growing up and always wanted to be a princess, Halloween is the time for you to be a princess for the day. Dressing up as a princess doesn’t mean you are being childish. It just means you are awesome and magical! A lot of Halloween costumes are cartoon-themed – Wilma Flintstone, Pocahontas, Pink Power Ranger, and many more – and any costume you choose for a Halloween party is sure to be a fun one, even if it isn’t the most creative thing.

Whatever costume you chose, make sure that it expresses who you are. You also want to be aware of what’s age appropriate. I know you see adults wearing costumes that have short skirts and cropped tops. But let’s be real girls, that’s not OK for you! You have PLENTY of time to be an adult, so why rush?
You can still have fun with costumes without showing all of your skin. I’m not saying you have to wear a trash bag and be a ghost for Halloween, but there are other options. For example, you can be a hippie, a witch, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, an angel or a genie. The options for what’s appropriate are endless, I promise!

Whatever costume you decide to rock during the Halloween season, have fun with it and remember to choose something that is age appropriate. If your mamma says no, it’s a no.
