I am often asked, “I clean my face every day…DO I REALLY NEED TO EXFOLIATE?” Well, honey, first let me start by letting you know that even the best makeup in the world will look like dirt if it’s applied on top of skin that is dry, dull or flaky. Cleaning your face every day is fine, but we all need to exfoliate every once in a while. The point of exfoliation is to remove dead skin cells, oil and anything extra that could be clogging your pores.
After exfoliating, your face should feel smooth and look healthy. If your skin is red and irritated after exfoliation then honey, STOP using whatever you were using. More importantly, DO NOT EXFOLIATE EVERY DAY. DO SO ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK!!!!!!

Here are three must-have facial cleansers that will surely exfoliate! All three products are great for people with sensitive skin.
Juice Beauty Apple Peel $37
This peel has fruit acids that brighten skin. Apply once a week to oily skin; once every two weeks to dry skin. This product contains glycolic acid, malic acid and lactic acid. It also contains aloe, which soothes and hydrates the skin.
St. Ives Timeless Skin Daily Microdermabrasion $10
This Allure magazine recommended product has fine mineral crystals, chamomile and vitamin E. Oh, and it’s also easy on the pockets.
Glycolic Foaming Cleanser $15
This cleanser from Mario Badescu has glycolic acid to help remove the gunk that is left on the skin each day. In addition, its herbal extracts are designed to soothe the skin. Oh, and did I mention that I love love love this!!!!

Well as always, I hope this helps!
