Melissa Douglas, MS, RN
Melissa Douglas currently serves as HIV Research Manager with the Washington International Coordinating Center of the International Network for Strategic Initiatives in Global HIV Trials (INSIGHT).
For the past six years, she has served many roles in clinical and community/public health settings. Ms. Douglas has also worked specifically with clinical trials HIV studies, specializing in preventive health strategies, risk reduction, and treatment options for high-risk African American populations. She has worked with many community based organizations and served as an health advisor, program planner, and healthcare social media consultant. She has also chaired multiple programs including the Take, Participate, Educate World AIDS Day 2010 Campaign and Let’s Go L.E.A.N. for the Holidays: Linking Energy with Activity through Nourishment Health Education Cooking Class.
Ms. Douglas has also presented on research and minority health at the National Black Nurses Association Annual Institute Conference and the HIV Prevention Trials Network Annual Meeting.
