Finding the perfect bra: steps to the right fit
By Shannan Cieara
Is your bra too tight? Too loose? Just doesn’t fit right? Well, a common mistake that many women and young girls share is choosing the wrong bra, which typically comes from not knowing the correct size or styles that works best.
So in order to shop for the right bra that gives the best coverage and support – two very important features to have – you would need to know what your bra size is and what you are looking for in a bra. Once you have the answer to both, you can bra shop confidently and comfortably.
When bra shopping visit Victoria’s Secret or a department store such as Nordstrom’s or Macy’s, where bra specialists who are trained are ready to measure you as well as suggest different bra styles.
Bras come in a range of styles, and having too many different options can be overwhelming; however, do not let the “too many options” distract you from finding that perfect bra. Here are the most common:
racer back– which gives the support of a sports bra but fit of a regular bra. No matter your bra size, anytime you are working out, running or being really active, you should wear a sports bra. Sports bras hold your breasts down while moving.
demi cut – that gives you the support of a regular bra but is cut a bit lower to be worn with v-neck or low cut
full coverage – which does exactly what its name says. It provides coverage for the entire bosom.
Your bra size should be treated like knowing your shoe size. You wouldn’t go shoe shopping without knowing your shoe size would you? Size is very important and knowing your correct size is only half the battle. Finding the perfect fit is simple, and it starts by talking to a Bra Specialist.
